Provide resources to law department to crack down on absentee landlords
Create new administrative procedure to fine/punish absentee landlords who negligently maintain property
Offer training for local nonprofits to take advantage of Ohio’s receivership law to renovate public nuisance properties and put them back into productive use
Fully fund the HRC’s housing discrimination division and preferred property program
Require real estate investors to register their rental properties for a fee, or pay a fine
Work with Montgomery County, ABLE, and other partners to create “Right to Counsel” in eviction proceedings
Hire more code enforcement staff
