Recreation

  • Restructure city’s programming and events 

  • Improve parks and waterways 

  • Study feasibility of adding additional pedestrian bridges over our riverways  

  • Create City/DPS youth recreation programs

  • Establish new community/neighborhood centers where vacant or underutilized buildings currently stand

  • Provide new recreational education opportunities, including: fishing and other non-revenue sports (e.g., tennis, track, baseball, volleyball, etc.) which provide additional scholarship opportunities outside of major revenue sports
